Ithaa

When wanting to splurge on gastronomy anywhere around the world, there isn’t a shortage of restaurants to go to. Ithaa is the first undersea restaurant ever built. Located in Conrad Maldives Rangali, this establishment will let customers dine16 feet below sea level.  People will have a sense of dining in the bottom of the ocean as the restaurant has an acrylic transparent roof.  This allows a perfect view of fish swimming by. Food served is a kind of fusion food, taking on Western dishes with Maldivian flair. Ithaa serves a 23-course menu at $300, and many other culinary offerings.

Masa is a Japanese restaurant in New York owned by Chef Takayama. The restaurant only serves omakase which is a kind of tasting session from the lightest dish to the richest. Masa’s omakase costs $450 per person, and that price does not include drinks, tax or tip. Reserving months in advance is needed to be able to dine in the exclusive restaurant. Solo Per Due is not just one of the most expensive. It’s also the smallest restaurant in the world due to the fact that it only serves two people at a time. So you can probably use it for dining alone, too, since the restaurant charges $350 per person.  You can treat yourself to a heart-shaped cake, dance by yourself, and enjoy a bouquet of flowers with a note that you wrote to yourself.  Solo Per Due is in a lovely little village in Rieti, Italy.

aragawa

He serves delectable signature dishes with oysters and pearls. To eat in French Laundry, one needs to cough up $270 and make a reservation months in advance.

When in London and feeling like royalty, head on to The Lecture Room and Library and be served New French cuisine by Michelin-starred Chef Pierre Gagnaire. It is located in an 18th century townhouse that is also home to Christian Dior.  For that alone, customers are willing to pay around $205 for a meal. Alain Ducasse au Plaza Athenee is probably the most elegant looking restaurant in the world, what with the crystal chandelier and the most scrupulous food presentation ever seen. The French restaurant in Paris is known for its haute cuisine and rare wines. It charges $231 per diner.
